Since everyone in the town was so casual about Jaskier and Vespula's argument in the middle of town, I want to headcanon that their fighting is like a once-a-week thing.
Every week, like clockwork, Jaskier and Vespula would meet up and seek out something to argue about. However, their contentious encounters were consistently interrupted when either Geralt or Yennefer sought Jaskier's assistance for a pressing matter. Consequently, Jaskier would depart, leaving the duration of his absence undisclosed. Eventually, Jaskier would return, and the cycle would begin anew, with Vespula and him rekindling their connection.
As time went on, the townspeople grew accustomed to this predictable pattern. They had become so used to it that they even found some solace in the knowledge that it often yielded a fresh ballad or melody born out of the cycle's events.
I come from a long line of people with something wrong with them
I've recently delved into the Witcher book series for the first time, and while I absolutely adore Jaskier and Geralt in the television adaptation, I must admit that their friendship reaches unparalleled heights in the books.
It's as if they both have this endearing perspective of each other, constantly thinking, "Behold this feral gremlin man I stumbled upon in the dumpster; I love him."
The genuine adoration between Dandelion and Geralt is an absolute delight to experience while reading. Their dynamic is filled with infectious joy and camaraderie, making it an incredibly enjoyable aspect of the story.
